John A. Bologna, P.E., President/CEO
 John A. Bologna is CEO of Coastal Engineering Co., Inc. as well as Head of the Structural and Marine Engineering department.
He received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Civil Engineering Degree from Rice University in 1980 and 1986 respectively. He has over 25 years of experience in Structural Engineering.
John has served as the lead design professional on many large-scale commercial and municipal projects. He has directed the design of structural engineering projects ranging from residential to commercial construction projects, multi-family dwellings, schools, churches, mercantile centers, community centers, and historic preservation projects and has served as an expert witness in construction arbitration cases. He has directed the design of marine engineering projects including shorefront protection, erosion control, marinas, piers, and boat launching facilities. He has in-depth knowledge of building codes, engineering design, and permitting requirements.
John is an adjunct professor in Construction Technology at Cape Cod Community College and serves on the Board of Directors for several organizations.
David J. Michniewicz, P.E., Vice President

David J. Michniewicz serves Coastal Engineering Co., Inc. as Head of the Civil Engineering and Land Surveying department. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1977 and has worked for Coastal Engineering since that time. In addition to being a Massachusetts registered Professional Engineer, he is also a Massachusetts Approved Soil Evaluator and Massachusetts Certified Title 5 Systems Inspector.
Dave is responsible for the engineering design and oversight of a wide array of large-scale residential, commercial, and municipal projects. His primary expertise is in site development including roadway design, stormwater drainage and flood mitigation, and sewage treatment and disposal. He is experienced in municipal water supply and sewer design and has provided expert testimony in litigation cases involving subsurface sewage disposal and storm drainage systems.
