Skaket Corners, Orleans, MA
About this project:
Skaket Corners is a well-known shopping plaza located on Route 6A at the entranceway to Orleans. The shopping plaza contains seventeen retail stores, which were discharging wastewater to individual on-site Title 5 septic systems. When the owners of the plaza began a redevelopment of the existing supermarket facility, the project included an initial survey of the existing septic systems; design of several wastewater collection systems; and the design and construction of a new 20,000 gallon per day wastewater treatment facility to process and discharge all of the wastewater produced on the site.
Coastal Engineering's services included:

- Hydrogeological study to determine aquifer mounding potential

- Groundwater Discharge Permit application
- Environmental and regulatory permitting at local, county, and state levels
- Construction survey services and construction oversight
