Snow's Home and Garden Center, Orleans, MA
About this project:
H.H. Snow & Sons is a family-owned and operated retail store on Main Street in Orleans that was established over 100 years ago. When the Snow family decided to expand and update the facility to meet growing customer demands, they elected to preserve tradition by renovating the existing facility without disturbing any new land. The store front was redesigned to make the building more attractive and access to the store was improved by redesigning traffic and parking patterns. The site was also made safer by upgrading the business' fuel and gas storage facilities. Not only did Orleans keep its prized department store, but the transformation of this century-old business was done in a cost-effective, environmentally sound way.
Coastal Engineering's services included:
- Structural design and plan preparation
- Civil and wastewater disposal system designs
- Development of Regional Impact permitting
- Construction contract administration.
