Hyannis Yacht Club, Hyannis, MA
About this project:
To maintain an efficient boating facility, this popular landmark marina and private yacht club faced extensive renovations. An existing pier and solid fill bulkhead needed to be completely replaced, requiring excavation of the solid fill. New steel sheeting driven in front of the old bulkhead and an anchoring system to keep the sheeting plumb and in place was installed. Now, after completely rebuilding and widening the timber pile-supported pier, the result is a vastly improved and modernized facility.
Coastal Engineering's services included:
- Structural design
- Environmental permitting at the local, state and federal levels
- Construction contract administration
- Compliance inspections.
