Residential Shorefront Protection
About this project:
Like many waterfront properties on Cape Cod, this dwelling is located near the top of a coastal bank and is subject to episodic storms. Shorefront protection was approved by regulatory authorities subject to covering the revetment with indigenous plantings and grasses. Today, the dwelling is not only protected against major storm activity, but also has a more natural look to the coastal bank. This project was completed without any impact to the fronting salt marsh.
